Successfull HPS delivery in Romania

It is a cycle

After production and separation of crude oil, the remaining water must be returned to the reservoir. In most cases, injection pumps are required to generate the necessary pressure.

A modern type of injection pump for this application is the Horizontal Pumping System.

Cost efficient, rugged and flexible design

HPS type pumps are characterized by their mobile and slim design, thanks to the whole pump being mounted on a frame or a simple skid. Built from standard components, lead times are typically relatively short. Since only one mechanical seal is required, these pumps can be reconditioned quickly, easily and cost-effectively. A extensive flow rate range is often achieved by operating several HPS in parallel.

High capacity and high pressure

The recently commissioned centrifugal HPS in Romania handles a flow range of 500 to 1,100 mΒ³ per day and the pump can operate in a head range of 70 to 110 bar. The pump is equipped with pressure sensors at the intake and discharge as well as vibration transmitters. All components are easily accessible and integrated on one frame.

This HPS is a replacement for four progressive cavity pumps.

Power and control

This HPS is driven by a 200kW electric motor and is powered by our new ElektroMOTION smartDRIVE ALUMINATE 3R which delivers 361A.

The VFD Control Software is developed and coded in-house and is specifically designed for HPS application.

Engineered and built in Germany

Completely designed by Oil Dynamics engineers and assembled to the highest quality standards at our Hockenheim facility, all HPS are thoroughly performance tested prior to shipment.

Delivered by experts
